Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK)
Thailand has two airports in Bangkok. Suvarnabhumi is the new airport, located in Samut Prakan Province, all international flights and some domestic flights operate from here. Don Muang Airport, located on Vibhavadi Rangsit Road, Bangkok serves the following airlines: Thai Airways operates non-connecting and domestic flights; Nok Air operates domestic flights; One-Two-Go operates domestic flights.
Suvarnabhumi Airport BKK
There is a free shuttle bus that leaves from the terminals and will take you to the Public Transportation Centre of the airport, a short distance from the passenger terminal. You can find every kind of transport here, taxis, limousines, rented cars and express buses.
Airport Express
There are four express bus routes from Suvarnabhumi Airport to Bangkok downtown running from 05.30 until 24.00:
Airport Express 1 Suvarnabhumi Airport - Surawong Rd. - Silom Rd.
Airport Express 2 Suvarnabhumi Airport - Khao San Rd
Airport Express 3 Suvarnabhumi Airport - Sukhumvit (Nana)
Airport Express 4 Suvarnabhumi Airport - Hua Lamphong Railway Station
Public Buses in Bangkok
The public bus service has six routes that go to/from the airport to destinations around Bangkok:
No. 549 Suvarnabhumi Airport – Minburi
No. 550 Suvarnabhumi Airport – Happy Land
No. 551 Suvarnabhumi Airport – Victory Monument (Expressway)
No. 552 Suvarnabhumi Airport – Bangna (On Nut BTS Station)
No. 553 Suvarnabhumi Airport – Samut Prakan
No. 554 Suvarnabhumi Airport – Don Muang Airport
Limousine
If you are travelling by limousine, make your way to the Limousine Service Counter located at the Arrivals Level on the second floor. Two limousine services are provided from THAI and the Airport of Thailand (AOT).
Metered Taxis
Metered taxis are available outside the exit on the 1st floor. If you take the free shuttle bus to the transport centre there are more taxis here. There is a 50 baht surcharge on the meter. The trips to the city will cost 300 – 400 baht with highway tolls extra. Depending on traffic the trip will take around 40 – 60 minutes.
