Don Muang Airport Still Flooded
Don Muang airport, Bangkok's second airport used by Nok Air, Orient Thai Airlines (formerly One-Two-GO Airlines) and domestic flights operated by Thai Airways, is still reported to be underwater with all flights transferred to Suvarnabhumi.
Internal roads within the airport have been flooded and water has poured onto the runways, grounding commercial flights. Several de-commissioned aircraft in storage, owned by Orient Thai Airlines have also been damaged by water.
The flooding is one of the largest setbacks in the fight against the flooding of the Asian capital as the airport was being used as an emergency relief center including tents for 4000 people who were forced to leave their homes.
The centre of Bangkok is still unaffected by the floods although some shops are finding it difficult to get essential supplies due to restricted road access elsewhere.
Other parts of Thailand outside of the capital remain unaffected.
