Thai AirAsia Opens Chiang Mai Hub

Thai AirAsia is making Chiang Mai its newest regional hub in Thailand, about a year after it had given Phuket similar status.

The low-cost carrier will launch two new routes from January 24 out of Chiang Mai - one daily flight each to Hat Yai and Singapore.

It will deploy its new Airbus A320 aircraft, scheduled to arrive in January, on the Chiang Mai routes.
