Thai Tiger - The New Thai Budget Airline
A new joint venture between Thai Airways and Singaporean Tiger Airways, Thai Tiger, is due to launch in the first quarter of next year.
The airline proposes to offer lower fares to travelers in Thailand, Singapore, Vietnam and Cambodia.
Due to be based in Bangkok and set to rival the likes of Air Asia, the airline will offer routes with Airbus 320's with a maximum flight time of 5 hours.
Thai Air currently owns 39% of Nok Air. It is not clear at the moment what will happen to this airline.
