Solar Air Promotions
A budget airline based in the Don Mueang International Airport, Solar Air has a fleet size of two Dornier 228’s and a Saab 340A plying the routes of Bangkok, Chumphon, Hua Hin, Phrae, Loei, Mae Sot, and Pattaya.
Managed by Solar Aviation Co., Ltd., Solar Air caters to business, travel or leisure passengers, and includes an aircraft delivery service among its offerings to ensure safe and fast transport of parcels.
Solar Air allows for online booking of flights through its website, via travel agents, or through its call center. Passengers are also allowed seat selection when booking online.
Solar Air offers from between 19 to 33-seater aircraft for passengers who travel in a group, or seek privacy during their flights. For this purpose the airline offers charter air services for private parties, tourists, and business groups.
Apart from beverages and snacks served during the flight, Solar Air boasts of a fully professional and experienced crew and ground team to ensure the safety, comfort, convenience, and premium service for each of their passengers during every flight.
Solar Air also offers the Solar Club Card for loyal passengers, allowing them to accumulate points to redeem gifts or free airfare. Its website has a page listing all the airline’s destinations, including photos and descriptions of tourist spots and other points of interest along the way.
Unlike other airlines, Solar Air prominently displays all its flight schedules, destinations, airfare prices, and airline promotions on the front page of their website for their passengers’ convenience.
Until recently, however, Solar Air has been operating from its temporary base at the Utapao International Airport in Pattaya, given the flood situation in the country’s capital of Bangkok that has crippled operations at the Don Mueang International Airport and caused air traffic congestion at the Suvarnabhumi International Airport. As such, it has posted an apology to its passengers on its site, as well as to inform them of this update.
