This month, the Phuket airport schedule displays 6,730 flights, indicating that the peak season has come. The average number of daily flights throughout the month of December will increase to 217 from about 200 in November. (On the busiest day of November, 219 flights landed, carrying 10,449 people.) Approximately 3,000 of these flights are foreign arrivals, while 3,730 are planned to be operated by Thai airlines.

Singapore Airlines has the most flights arriving in Phuket, followed by Qatar Airways. However, Russian airlines have the greatest number of arrivals on the island. Kazakhstan and India are tied for second place. In November, there were 63,357 arrivals from Russia, compared to 29,259 from India and 10,659 from Kazakhstan.

The Phuket International Airport has welcomed just under one million passengers over the last seven months. From May through November, 959,217 individuals arrived on the island. A little less than 250,000 passengers came on foreign planes in a single month, an average of 8,165 each day. And this figure does not include those who had a stopover in Bangkok and passed through immigration control prior to connecting aircraft to Phuket.

The Phuket News reports that 38 different international airlines are flying flights into Phuket this month.
